What Is Stay Order In Law?
If you ever had any legal case in court you must have heard about the term Stay, so stay order is a term that the High court or supreme court used to stop the legal process given by any small court. For example, if someone goes to court to complain about any department and the court stopped that case for any reason called a Stay order.
Why Delhi Government Delisted Tata Nexon
Recently Delhi Government has ordered to delist Tata Nexon EV from its EV policy list because a customer has a complaint about its inadequate range.
This Ev policy Delhi government has made for first 1000 Electric Viechle buyers who will get 1.5 lakh rupees subsidy amount among with other benefits.
Delhi government has made this subsidy to encourage buyers to switch to the new electric vehicles, but after getting complaints from Tata Nexon users that its real range is comparable short than what tata mortars are claiming.
Delhi government found this complaint genuine and remove the Tata Nexon Ev from its Ev subsidy, but the High court has put the stay on this case by saying the complaint is falsely alleged and not coming from a certified agency.
The high court has also granted time to the Delhi Government to file a counter-affidavit.
The Range controversy comes with all vehicles whether it’s an Ev or ICE, the real-world mileage and ARAI certified mileage have never been the same, Therefore, any action should have been taken after a proper investigation.
The case is still open, and High Court has also granted some time to the Delhi Government to file a counter-affidavit.
